     A: Last night when I sat down to do the mental video, l had a hard time bringing the problem to a bottom line. It seemed that all the problems were symptoms of an underlying problem and that's where l am, sort of stumped! It made it hard to create a solution.

     So, is it possible to go to the alpha level and ask for help in identifying the specific problem, that all of the other problems stem from, then, ask for help with the solution or wait on the second half till l have an answer to exactly what the problem is? Before you can come up with a creative solution, the problem has to be clearly defined, correct? Otherwise, you are just going around putting out fires.

     l really want to get this clear in my head. Somewhere l have a problem, belief, something that needs straightened out! l think once that is taken care of, the rest will follow.

     A: If you don't get any "indications" with the MentalVideo technique, then just take it for granted that you are doing what higher intelligence wants you to do. That's my approach... I send them my videos along with the thought that, "This is how I am going to proceed unless you tell me otherwise."

     The Alpha Level is the best place to do your thinking... there is the most brain energy, the least impedance to the flow of (thought) electrical current. So use the alpha level to think things through as best you can. Then send a report to higher intelligence.

     Higher intelligence needs to know what is going on, in order to know what needs to be done, and how to help you.

     Mr. Silva said that we are to higher intelligence, what our fingers are to our hand. In other words, if you want information about an object, you touch it with your fingers to find out if it is cool or warm, rough or smooth, etc. Your fingers detect the information and send it back to your brain.

     That's how we work with higher intelligence. Higher intelligence - "God" - is spiritual; the physical part of higher intelligence is... us! We are the part of the "Godly system" (as Mr. Silva called it) that functions in the physical dimension. We are the ones who have to detect information (just as your fingers detect information about an object) and then go all the way back on the scale of brain evolution to where we came from, so we can communicate the information back to higher intelligence.

     Where did we come from? We came through the "delta doorway." Take a look at the Scale of Brain Evolution chart... it is at the bottom of the FAQ page on www.avlispub.com. Full beta function - 20 cycles per section - is for the objective, physical, world. The center of the normal brain frequency spectrum - 10 cycles Alpha - is to function in the subjective, mental, world.

     Both Beta and Alpha are a full octave, you notice. But Delta is only half an octave... the rest of delta is on the "other side," the spiritual dimension where higher intelligence resides. Beyond the "universe."

     So... just as your nerves carry information from your fingers to your brain, we send information to higher intelligence along that pathway through the delta doorway. And just as your brain sends information back to your fingers so that they can do the work that needs to be done - to pick up the object for instance, or shove it out of the way - so too does higher intelligence send information back to us humans in the physical world so that we can do the physical work that needs to be done.

     We do not need to know why a problem exists. If a child is being hurt, that's a problem. The solution is that the child not be hurt anymore, but instead the child be loved and wind up a well adjusted productive adult who helps to make the world a better place to live.

     What can you do to help bring this about? Whatever you think of, include it in your MentalVideo. If higher intelligence has a better idea, then your tutor will send you an indication of how to proceed.

     If you have any specific situations and you are not sure about how to use the MentalVideo, let me know. It is always easier to talk about specific situations than abstract ideas. Well... actually... it is really easy to talk about abstract ideas... but it generally doesn't lead very far. It is easier to explain how to proceed when we look at specific situations.

     Keep asking questions... they stimulate good answers (sometimes they might even be my answers... but probably not... I've learned that most of my good ideas come from somebody or somewhere else).
